Dear students,

You’re likely all wrapped up with final exams and are catching up on those missed hours of Clash Royal or binge watching Netflix. Good. That’s exactly what you should be doing: storing energy and relaxing before what promises to be an adventure-filled summer in the beautiful and culturally rich Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, we just spent a wonderful weekend in Putney, Vermont, briefing with the program directors, planning service projects, and loading up on sunscreen. We want to share with you several amazing places that we’ll visit and encourage you to spend a little quality time with Google to undertake some preliminary research yourselves:

• Santo Domingo (the capital city, where we’ll marvel in Hispaniola’s history)
• La Guaraza, Barahona (our community service site)
• Jarabacoa (where we’ll explore lush mountains and rivers)
